Between the 3rd March at 6pm and the 4th March at 11am, a property in Orchard Road, Melbourn was broken into. Unknown offenders have smashed a sash window and entry was gained to the property. An untidy search has been conducted and property was stolen from the bedroom and office. Items include a watch, cash, a video camcorder and a satnav. The offenders have then exited the property at the same point of entry.
Also, on the 3rd March between 8.30 and 9pm, at a property in Maple Way, Melbourn an attempted burglary occurred. The occupants were in the property at the time and heard a noise at approx 9pm that sounded like plastic cracking. They then went downstairs and turned on a light which possibly disturbed the offender. The occupants didn’t see anything, but when looking the next morning saw that the conservatory door had been forced with an unknown tool and a rear window had been forced half open.
